Hell yes I just logged out of Twitter on my phone. Comment here! It’s easy, no account needed!

If you want to know what’s up with me, it’s that lately I’m putting my head in the sand, geopolitically (but I still voted in the Portland locals just now), and I’m extremely into my new girlfriend Erika! That’s about it! Work is good, cooking is awesome, weather is getting nice, reading good books, AND I’ll keep microblogging ~here.

I just spent a truly stupid amount of time, like probably more than a couple hours over a few days, trying to disassemble, clean, soak, and ultimately fix this stupid liquid pump for this fancy schmancy seabuckthorn oil I use every day, to no avail 😭

Very long walk accompanied first by no sound, then a few Belle & Sebastian songs, and now the continuous mix of In Flight Entertainment by Aeroplane

ADHD is so weird. I drank an americano and then went to bed for two more hours this morning. Normal people can’t do that I don’t think??????

To a couple people in my life rn I’m asking to stop talking to themselves negatively, e.g. “Rachel, you gotta finally do laundry” or whatever, but it’s frequently accompanied by things like “Rachel, don’t be an idiot.” This is so bad for you! Don’t talk to yourself like this. It affects your self image and it creates an emotional punishment for ordinary tasks. You are you! You’re the one paying the price when you talk to yourself like this, not some mythical extra-you you! As always, there’s no way you would talk to someone else like this, “Rachel, get it together,” so don’t talk to yourself like this either.

Hanging out in the maker space with Erika, noodling around on Rust (trying to start again and finish the final chapter project), a perfect way to spend my false Friday! 😍

Just got to extol the brilliance of homebrew and the virtues of installing in user space, to my coworkers 😍😍
